You may have seen the story on today's local news about the fact that many Maine residents are unable to provide food for their pets and are reluctant to ask for help. Don't let this happen to you or anyone you know because there is help available. You can call your local animal shelter; many have donated food.. Or, if you or someone you know is over 60 or is an adult with a disability and don't have enough money to purchase food for their pet, give us at EAAA a call. We manage the Furry Friends Program and have food and kitty litter for cat and dogs. We require income verification, but the qualification is high (around $1,745/month for single person households or $2,347/month for two person households). Please, don't struggle with juggling limited funds for your food, your pets food or heating your home. Give us a call and get the help you need!
